When discussing the site with the person thats arranging the trip, we were told that the pitches might not be top notch as the new owners told the seasonal pitch holders had to get off or get dressed, so some have left. Some had laid patio slabs/decking etc that has all had to come up. But I completely misunderstood and thought she was saying that the pitches needed dressing, ie re-seeding etc. Doh!!!
The site is lovely, but some of the ground is very soft, hardstandings might have to be put in there.
The facilities were lovely, you have to pay for the jacuzzi and steam room and 20p for a shower. No lockers and communal changing (?) rooms and showers, soon to be sorted we believe. The staff were really friendly. I had fun going round asking everyone if they had been before
We liked it and it is close to home. Summer pitch rates are about £20 a night for 2.
The only thing was, I was stalked all weekend by a funny little lady, who drunk all the red wine at the bar.................................... There was none left at lunchtime today
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I'll look forward to that loopy, we are thinking of trying this site out this year, need to find a site close to home as an aleternative to Ashurst (refuse to pay their inflated prices).
