Hi everyone, I am new to this forum.
I am really in need of some assistance. OK - here's the problem. We have had a van for two years and have recently upgraded (to an Avondale Goldcrest, if you're interested). We have also recently converted our best friends to the joys of 'vanning. Since we started, we have had the van at a VERY basic site in Winsford Cheshire, where I also keep my boats on the adjoining lake - so great times for all. We have four kids as do our friends, and we love the place we use at present. Being very basic, the fees are tiny (about £8 per week for the van and an awning), and we can go and stay as often as we wish - so of course we are there virtually every weekend from February till October.
Sounds good? - It really is, except that the bloke who owns the land is converting the whole place to just storage - the rules and regs are becoming too much of a burden for him.
So now we are having to find somewhere else!
Does anybody know of a place in the North West where a van can be both stored and used all year round, that is relaxed and cheap? Preferably the place should be near water and allow me to keep my boats there as well, but if we had to lose the boats we would.
I don't believe we will ever find anywhere as relaxed as where we are, but we need to find somewhere before the end of the year. Your help would be very much appreciated.
