The Backpackers Club has been going since 1972. They hold an annual get together as well as meets all year round. The venue for this years get together was Napton on the Hill in Warwickshire. I didn't want to drive & the 12 mile walk from the station at Leamington Spa was a bit much for me at moment so I decided to get back in the saddle after 18 months & ride to my local station & from Leamington Spa for an easy total of 24 miles each way with the towpath of the Grand Union Canal & some quiet lanes proving a mostly flat route. Frosty nights, sunny days, great company, a fine local pub, cafe & cider made for a great trip.

Those tents are at the village hall the club hired but there ate sites nearby. I'll be back - need 4 more stamps on my Napton Cidery loyalty card!
