Hi I already own a Coleman cobra 2 sr and really enjoyed camping in it a few days ago but I could not help thinking it would be nice to have a little more space for myself and my other gear,i had thought about the extra weight and had come to the conclusion that my Boardman sports bike would cope with the extra weight given that I had bought a electric cycle front hub kit and fitted it a few months ago and this was working a treat so I have ordered a Coleman cobra 3 but I have not received it yet and would like to ask would this tent be ok using it in winter and snow in the uk. ]http://------------- ScarraBri

You will be fine in the Winter.
Get a nylon tarp to go under the groundsheet. The only thing is that your cobra 2 will be warmer but you will have more room to cook in the vestibule of the cobra 3. If it is windy try and put the low end into the wind and watch for snow as the fly can sometimes be close to the inner depending how you pitch. The weight of the snow can press onto the inner and you will also get more condensation.
Make sure you have a decent mat too for insulation.
Hi Ewen and thank you for your reply and that is good news as i was hoping to have a go at winter camping but only on my local camp site,so thats some thing to look foward too, i suppose the cobra 3 is a three season tent? so that is why i was a little unsure if she would be ok,just going off topic a little as i originaly bought the Alpine/Navagater2
4 season tent just a few weeks ago and its a realy nice tent but whilst i was camping up mow cop the weather turned realy stormy with a lot of wind but for any one who knows or owns one of these tents the bottom of the tent has snow flaps fitted all the way around and the noise they made in the wind was unbeleavable to the extent i returned the tent straight away,any way just my opinion
