Hi
Has anyone used one of these?
Looking for a lightweight tent for backpacking next summer.
Would love to have one 4 man tent that DH can carry comfortably.
Would this be suitable or is there no such thing? LOL

Thanks, Chizzi

Hello Chizzi.

The Kampa Brighton 4 person tent is good for 2 adults plus kit, for sleeping and resting in.
The area in front of the sleeping area is somewhat small to use for much, other than kit storage.

The weight of 4.8kg is comfortable for a 'fit bloke'.

3000 HH is good for protection from our Summer rain.

The sewn in groundsheet on the inner is good for keeping the creepy crawlies out, as well as the breeze.
That is pitched first, then the flysheet. Bummer if it is raining, but practise will cut the erection time.

Certainly worth having a go for the £70 price tag.

Hope this helps?

Kind regards James

Then I bought a tent.

Thanks James
We'll be taking our 14 year old twins, so guess this tent won't be big enough. Looks like we'll have to take two tents!

Thanks, Chizzi

Yes Chizzi, you'd be rather cramped all in a tent that size.
The twins can take turns with carrying their tent

Regards James

I reckon you'd be better off with two three man tents or a three and a two at a push. You can split the load up between all four of you.
