Great info Fiona, thanks.
I grew up in Ayrshire in the 70s and 80s and never really had midges or ticks. The dogs only seemed to get them in the 90s.
Long range forecast is promising rain but I'll see next weekend. I'm not that bothered by a few showers anyway.
Currently on the train. Finished the walk yesterday and camped at the Glen Nevis campsite last night.
I will put up a full report but to summarise, it was scenic, wet and involved having to wade a few river crossings. The amount of rain put every burn in spate and created some new ones. Well dodgy but fun.
Absolutely shattered but feel good.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
