First off, Floppers, I leave plenty of reviews, and wouldn't even consider feeling guilty if it went pair shaped for others. Disappointed maybe, but not guilty. We all make our own decisions, when all said and done. Naturally, that also means I wouldn't blame anyone else, if we had a poor experience based on someone else's positive review.
Anyway... we had a great time, thanks!
To be fair, we didn't cycle as much as normal, and did a fair bit of strolling around instead (in towns/resorts... we don't tend to get out into the fields, and certainly don't go hiking!), but we got out on our bikes on both of the main days. Muckerette lost her compooter fingy, so no idea how many miles, probably 12 to 15 each day, instead of the more usual 20 to 30.
Personally, I was pleased about that, and enjoyed the strolling. Made a nice change!
The dark evenings also meant we got more chance to relax around the tent, rather than being out until 8/9 each evening! Most relaxing weekend we've had for a long time... and certainly worthy for our record breaking getaway... so nothing but smiles here! :-)
We had a (very nice) sit down chippy meal on the high street in Sheringham on the Saturday evening, so didn't manage to sample any delights that Cromer had to offer. (Woe betide me suggesting more than one portion of chips, even on a 3 night weekend! LOL!)
My site review is now up on show. Probably appears a little more negative than it should, in all honesty. The site was absolutely fine, but I guess we came away thinking we have found sites that are just as good, for considerably less (30 to 50%?) per night. I'll gladly pay over the odds all day long for that "something special", but I don't feel the site is worthy of the prices. I must stress we're not members though, so that adds to the bill, of course.
We've been to the area BC (Before Camping!) a number of times, and elsewhere in Norfolk, and will certainly return, probably both with and without the tent. Just a shame it's 3.5 hours rather than 2.5! Defeats the object of a quick getaway weekend!
Both the above and my site review may come across as a bit negative... That's more a reflection of my writing skills than the actual truth! I can assure you we had a great weekend.
But there's a bloke swimming in the North Sea Ocean in just his smugglers, some crabs in a bucket, and even a sinking ball of flaming hot ball of fire sunset thingy!
Just how much more excitement can one take?...Ooh... actually Geoff, thinking about that, I'm actually glad you found it boring! Long may it continue!
16 replies to OP,10 praising the tent. Work it out yourself as to which pictures people enjoyed the most. Think you need to try harder on the scenery pics. Perhaps a couple swimming stark b****ck naked in the North sea, some giant lobsters in a very large bucket. And a total eclipse of the sun might just do it.
I'll take your constructive criticism on board for the next report!
Not sure about the swimming couple thing, but I'll mention it to Muckerette this evening, to get her thoughts on it!

Having read through this thread and loved ALL the pics you posted Mucker, maybe you could solve the problems for those that thought they were boring by combining the above suggestions into one and forget about the bucket too.
This would leave you taking a photo of a couple stack naked in the North Sea having "found" a giant Lobster that has "taken advantage" of their lack of clothing.
