Just back yest from my 1st solo camp .well impressed with my vango icarus 600 .Easy to put up on ya own .Stayed at broadings farm campsite nice quite site and easy walking distance in to Whitby .left a day early because forecast thunder storms .all in all good 1st solo camp and good campsite
I had the same anxiety when I attempted my first solo trip with my Tigris 600xl.
I even took my smaller tent in case I could not get it up on my own.
But shouldn't of worried was a breeze to get up and I now have a long stay tent which I can call home with out crawling around for two weeks on my knees!
Only issue is I now have more space in the tent to buy lots of new toys Woo Hoo !!!!

I'll be camping on my own on Thursday night as my friend is arriving late Friday - think I'll have an early night, a long walk on Friday then lounge around waiting for her on friday evening with some wine and nibbles

Good for you! If you can"t stand your own company you have a problem. Still camping solo at 74 yrs, and if my sight and knees hold out I would like to think I have a few more years, hope you all have a wonderful season.
