That got your attention. ;-)
Just got back on Sunday from our first big camping trip.Eight days at the fantastic Home Farm site on Anglesey.
Only had a couple of weekends up to this trip so this was the decider and we all loved it.
After one of those "2 hour journeys" we got there after 4 hours, let the kids off the leash and got set up had some tea a brew and early night.
Next day it was cracking the flags so had a lazy day on the beach,a bit of a mooch and then back for food and beer.
Then the weather went down hill rapidly.
We had rain, hail, rain, gales some sun more rain more wind, did I mention rain? But we didn't let it get us down and we had a right good laugh.
We did have electric hook up and a convector heater that kept us nice and toasty when it was cold in the evening and we did take a tv for the kids (4 of them takes a lot of entertaining)The good news is it was only used for the radio and to check weather reports. It rained by the way.The kids just wanted to play out.
We were blessed with dry evenings so were able to sit under the porch for our evening meals at our table which was nice and also have beer.
Just behind our tent was a small wood full of birds which was nice in a morning because I'm an early riser so was up and sat out with my coffee and toast at 6 in the morning.
As I say we all loved it despite the weather, because it did rain I don't know if I mentioned that.
Can't wait for two weeks in Dorset in August.
Bit gutted we can't go for any weekends in between but got too many commitments this year so are already planning loads for next year.
I have got a couple of photos but not sure how to put them on,so if anyone can give me a few pointers I will try and post them.
Great trip report You will be itching to get back out there.
I load my photos onto Photobucket first then post them onto UKCS. I always have problems though. Some helpful soul will be along shortly to help you out

It sounds like you had a great trip (although you don't really say what the weather was like :-) ) Nothing like sitting outside in the peace and quiet with a cuppa in the morning and your kids obviously had a wonderful time playing out.
Hopefully somebody will be able to help you with the photo thing soon (I'm never sure what to do either!)
Hope you continue to have great trips.
P.S We're also going to Dorset in August and staying at Charmouth C&C club site. Where are you staying?
Hi Kimberly.
We're staying in Wareham.
We'd normally go nearer to Weymouth in a caravan but we always end up at Swanage on the beach so we found a campsite kind of in-between the two.
We love Dorset and try and go every couple of years but this will be our first time camping and we are really looking forward to it.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
