Did our very first night in our Vivaro on side of road (verge) in Mistley. The Campsite we were going to at the Strangers Home, Bradfield had been taken over by travellers! The pub with the live band was shut until further notice. So our debut trip, all organised so we could learn a few bits ended up wild. We headed for Manningtree - luckily we were in convoy with our friends in their tiny Diahatsu who have camped many times but never wild. And it all turned out great. We parked up door side to a wonderful view found a pub to eat and another with music. Didn't get too disturbed in the night. Woke up to the sound of lapping water, birds and a friendly swan for company. Ate my cereal on a lonely bench overlooking a pretty estuary. Brewed up and sucked in the freedom.
Love this county!
