Overnight stop at Tebay, best avoided.
CL2033 Maybole Ayr 2 nights
Well laid out and super views across the valley.
Three gravel and two grass pitches.
Pretty much level.
Basic but clean and loo and shower unit.
Lovely fresh duck eggs.
CC 215 Bunree, two nights.
A gem. Loch side pitches in demand but second row just as good.
Pretty level.
CC 219 Dunnet Bay Thurso two nights.
Spectacular sight right on the beach and what a beach!
Super walks and cycling very nearby in a wooded area.
Dunnet Head at sunset not to be missed.
Pitches bumpy to some blocks needed.
CC 218 Culloden Moor two nights.
A bit out of Inverness but worth visiting for the shopping.
Sloping pitches and the nearby war site very interesting and atmospheric.
CC 226 Kinlochewe two nights.
Spectacular location approached through Glen Coe.
Pretty tight turns into pitching areas and nice and level.
Midges at dusk an issue when we were there.
Great walks for the fittest.
CC 239 Yellowcraig North Berwick two nights.
Busy site, full when we were there but nicely laid out.
Super position with beach and great walking/cycling very close.
North Berwick pretty town wirth visiting.
Try the Old Clubhouse at nearby Gullane for some great food.
CC 160 Poolsbrook overnite stop enroute.

General notes.
Good we booked at each site the day before as most were surprisingly busy for September.
Nice people and generally an easy and enjoyable experience.
Toilet, shower and service points at all these sites were first rate.

As a first long trip with car and caravan it was good.

Not good was the funny shimmy from the car at low speed in the M1 roadworks followed by the offside caravan tyre blow out just before the services.

A blister had appeared on the inside tyre wall and blew out but the tyre did not fully deflate.

Put the spare on and drove on .......... So that's three new tyres to add to the bill.......

Caravan all worked fine.

SWMBO is converted.

Yeh loads but I use IPad and this forum is so clunky to upload images that frankly at my age I,m not sure I have the time left to waste doing it.

And having to use 300 words in site reviews is a pain too .......

It's not 300 words!! It's 300 characters!! Hardly any. About the same as you used to type the reply above!!
