Not a camping trip but a lovely week in a cosy cottage!
What a beautiful unspoilt area this is. We stayed in a tiny village called Cove, near Cockburnspath. Lovely upside down cottage with fantastic views over the sea.
Our home for the week, Bridle Cottage
Me and Bailey checking out the view from the bench outside
Two sides of St Abbs, calm in the harbour
while on the outside a little different!
First stone collected from Eyemouth
So who's going to play with me, huh?
Our favourite place, Belhaven Bay and the bridge to nowhere as it's known. Shown here are varying tide times as we just kept on going back. Unfortunately Bailey suffered with sore paws after swimming here as the beach is very rocky, especially under the water. He still loved it though!
Another stone!
It's amazing how fast the tide comes in and we actually witnessed a couple and their dog get cut off on the wrong side and have to wade through the rising water - wasn't a problem for the dog!
Oh and another stone!!
Lunch stop at beautiful Morpeth on the way home
More lovely bridges at Berwick
Lovely holiday, would like to go back there at some point

I have said on here a few times that I am no dog lover. Most of that is down to owners who have no idea what a dog needs, and how to care for them. Baiy seems to me to be one happy and much loved dog and shows just how happy he is with you and hubby. Love seeing the pics of him and his antics. Camping is great, but come the cold weather some of us still want to get away and autumn and winter breaks can be great fun, with some stunning scenery. So why not stay in a nice warm and cosy accommodation. great pics as usual Tracy. As for Baily, keep posting pics of him, he is great, and fast becoming a real star on here.
"Hey Bailey, an extra doggie treat for you, if you pretend to be happy, and make out you're enjoying yourself, despite the lack of tentage, just so I can show you off on the forum"!
Anyone can see each and every one of those stones Bailey is carting around has been ripped out of the wall of that pokey little cottage. He's clearly trying to demolish the bloody thing!
Don't put up with it, Bailey. Let me adopt you, then come the winter, you'll still get to stay in a tent, and you won't need to pretend to be happy, and there'll be no need for bribery-by-doggy-treats!
Geoff's right about one thing though... with acting skills like that, Bailey, you could indeed become a star. Almost believable!

Thanks Geoff and yes, Bailey is loved very much, our holidays are arranged around his needs as much as ours, if you have a dog that gives as much love back as we get from ours then it's an absolute pleasure spending time with them, at home or on holiday. Bailey sends a big sloppy kiss

Hi, not been on here for a while but dropped by whilst playing the Advent Calendar game... and found your pics. Lovely to see Belhaven Bay - my sister moved to a village right near to the bay just over a year ago (from way down on the south coast) and we're going to visit soon. It's a stunning spot and the 'bridge to nowhere' is a real icon - Bailey obviously 'hated' his swim, as does my sister who's a bit of a water baby but I don't think she will be following Bailey's lead (!) and taking a dip at this time of year. Although she did regularly do the Boxing Day swim in Dover so, I wouldn't be surprised if she did. Thanks for the lovely photos, they made me feel nearer to her. And glad you had a happy break even in a stone tent
------------- Camping - emotional resilience in action, a triumph of hope over adversity and antidote to virtual reality.
Your Bailey reminded me of my dearly-loved Gleann - he was the colour of dead bracken, except after his far too frequent frolics in the black London Clay of Walton backwaters, then they'd be identical! Gleann also had a penchant for stones! But so did Tigger, our collie/NZ Huntaway cross, only he collected small ones from the gravel track we used for his night-time walks. We've used the several sacks to spread round his grave to deter neighbourhoods' cats and the stag from trampling his grave.

Gorgeous photos .
An area I have never been but would love to visit . My OH says it's too far . But he says that about everywhere.
Thanks for sharing . Beautiful .
