hi all... Real Quick - is it possible to send private messages at all to individuals? Not a spam thing - just wanted to drop a quick note rather than start a whole thread :)

As Loops says, we can pass on your email address to another member, just email us.

Deano, I'm a PHP/HTML developer and I know from bitter experience that people hate change. UKCS has got a great following thus far and any change to the forum software would go down like a lead balloon.

Another good reason not to change is that it's not a common web app (possibly self built?) so it won't attract the kiddie hackers that other boards such as phpBB, etc have to suffer.

That said, a simple PM facility shouldn't take too long to build - but is it worth everyones time and effort when people can be contacted via the team directly?

But only if the person you want to send a message to is actually in the chatroom at the same time
