I have looked on here numerous times but I was looking for some roof bars for my Focus estate about a year ago for a particular model number made by Atera as their roof bars are versatile in the fact that you can alter the fittings to suit various cars. There was a person about 25 miles away selling some bars for a different make of car that would probably fit mine but when I asked if they could supply the corrresponding model number their reply wasn't that friendly and thought I was just a time waster. I haven't bothered since because people either want to sell or they don't and if it's free to advertise I find that they have nothing to lose and not that helpful. I found that Preloved was very much the same as well when I was looking for a Bosch dishwasher before Christmas. It took them days to reply to my question and when they did it was quite an abrupt answer stating that it had been sold months ago without an apology for not removing the advert. Ebay can have it's pitfalls but I will say that I do find that the majority of sellers will respond to a question as they really do want to sell their item they have listed because it's not free. 

I sold an Outwell Montana canopy on here no problem but then advertised another one (we did have 2 so nothing dodgy) and I did get a number of enquiries but they mainly wanted me to sell it for next to nothing - same happened on pre-loved so still got it stored in loft.  Probably give it another go in a few weeks time.

I sold my intex air bed on here it was only for for a few days and it sold for the asking price.

Never sold on here and tbh I don't look very often

The asking prices always seem to be quite high (£250 for a latitude?), perhaps because they know they already have interested parties looking?

A lot of the ads have no pictures either, and it's not that user friendly to delve through
