Hi, wanted to let you know about the Homark Halogen /Ceramic hotplate. I had been looking for a halogen hotplate for a while, but only seemed to be able to find induction plates. I then found the Homark Halogen. It can be bought definitely from Argos and costs approximately £54 and less if you have an argos money of voucher.
Anyway, it is flat and halogen. It also has a variable wattage setting, going from 200 to 2000.
I use it on the boat and for stowage it sits neatly under our gas stove. Porridge is now so fast in the morning.
I did find the Ferrari G3 on amazon and it cost less than the homark - about £30, but had less wattage.
If anybody have any questions about this let me know.

G3 Ferrari Galaxy Energy Saving 1300w Glass Ceramic Cooking Hotplate (Single Hot Plate)
by G3 Ferrari on http://www.g3ferrari.net

This was the G3 Ferrari ceramic hob. It seems smaller. I haven't tested this, but wondered if anybody else has used one. I would love to test it to compare it to the Homark that I own.
