I use it but it does warn you it can delete files and it did delete my son's music files he wasn't well pleased! I don't do it in his user area now. I haven't had any probs with it on my user area.

Hi Steve, got registry Mechanic, did use CC at one time and had no problems, and yes it does remove music but you can turn that feature off, overall it worked well. Only reason I use RM now is because I got a free copy via PC Advisor magazine and thought I would give it a try, has done a great job so far since my last reformat, hope that helps.
I'd give 'Registry Mechanic' a second vote of confidence... I don't know what the hell it does (because I'm 'computer illiterate')... My nephew installed it (along with 'Diskeeper') to keep the machine running smoothly...
So far (after a year) it's never given a moments trouble (touch wood!), no crashes or 'slowing'...
P.S. 'Registry mechanic' has never 'deleted' any of my photo or music (or anything) files, no problems at all...
No, dont use them second rate proggys. Here is a list to look up on google. PEST PATROL. REG SUPREME. TRACKS ERASURE PRO AD-AWARE 6 PRO ADVANCED SYSTEM OPTIMISER And if you have any Norton crap in your PC get rid of it and get a decent AntiVirus like AVG or AVAST.
