Is it just me, or does that flashing email icon distract anyone else whilst trying to read reviews and such?

Here's a reminder...

I can live with the email icon but what does distract me is animated images in the footers of posts. I have to make my browser window half size so that I can chop the footers off.

Fortunately, there aren't as many 'animated footers' as there used to be.
