We had a very bad stay at a camp site a few weeks ago .I found the camp site
through UK Camp Site , i started by going on the camp site search bit ,then i looked at the reviews . The reviews are good .It looks very good , so i book online .
But the camp site was anything but good. The camp site owners did not care . I will not go no about it because i will just get cross about it . BUT the reason for my post is i submited a review ,it was not rude but it told it like it was . The worst camp site
i have stayed at . My review has not been posted in the review bit why ?
calm down they dont print the reviews as soon as you post them give them a chance just think how many reviews they have to get through it might and probably will take weeks before it is shown.
what was the site anyway surely it couldnt have been that bad especially if it had some good reviews were the reviews old or fairly recent
Hi David999, as mentioned samandian the guys have hundreds of reviews to go through this time of year, as well as doing thier own stuff and there are only two of them to run the website as well as do the reviews. They do a great job to. I to have a review outstanding but they will get published just give them some time.
Jackie you obviously haven't looked very well! there are both good and bad reviews, i have submitted bad myself!
It does annoy me when people come out with comments like this, what does UKCS have to gain out of just putting up good reviews? this website was set up to help fellow campers not mislead them!
David999 try a little patience, there are two people checking the reviews and they get hundreds on a daily basis.
The review you submitted, although strangely under a different username, was only submitted on the 2nd September, as you were clearly informed when you submitted t, it can take up to four-weeks before we consider them for publication.
As Loopy say, you only have to read the reviews to see that we publish bad reviews as well as good, what we will not publish is personal gripes about a site owner etc. When submitting a review there are guidelines in place for a reason, were they followed:
Don't use 'TEXT speak' - this isn't a mobile! Use capital letters to start sentences and proper punctuation please. This saves us hours correcting reviews. Write a full review - cover the site's facilities in full, the toilet block / playground - did it have hookups etc etc Tell us about the surrounding area ( eg shops / beaches / bars / attractions etc etc) and provide info to help other visitors Be objective - we won't publish personal gripes Give constructive criticism where necessary. Add details not already covered in the existing reviews or website Be patient, we may have a big backlog at busy times
