I just thought I would share a recent find in case anyone else is looking for something similar.
My husband and I have small data allowances on our phones as we hardly use any data unless we are away from home, so when we go away, we usually buy a 1 month big data sim to put in our 4g router so we can stream TV, make video calls etc.
We were down in East Anglia a few weeks ago and found that Vodafone had the best signal in the area so I was looking online for a sim that uses the Vodafone network. Last year we used an Asda sim with unlimited data for £22 and we were about to go and get one when I spotted an offer on eBay of a 300gb Voxi sim for £6. I was slightly dubious but decided to go for it as if it wasn’t genuine, we had only lost £6. The sim arrived a few days later, I popped it in the router, and it works. The only problem with it is that you can’t register it so you can’t check your balance, it will, apparently, just stop working either after 1 month or after we have used the 300gb of data. We only want it for a month and I doubt very much we would use 300gb of data in a month, but for £6, I am not complaining.

The exact one we got is not showing any more but search on eBay for Preloaded Voxi Sim. There seems to be a few 100gb and 500gb ones available at the minute.
I currently use a Smarty SIM for my normal mobile £8 for 50gb a month, however I have the option to add unlimited data for £5 (for 3 days) or £17 (30 days) if we are going away without wifi to use for the TV (I use my phone as a portable hotspot for the TV). All app controlled, very easy to manage.
last time i looked smartys allowance for roaming abroad is only 12gb what ever plan your on, been looking to change possible to ID mobile doing a plan at the moment of 60gb a month £10.
Unused monthly data rolls over to next month their allowance for roaming is 30gb alongside my lebara sim special offer £1 for 30gb for 6 months then £7 a month untill you cancel 30gb roaming allowance, again 30gb which ever plan of theirs you have as long as the plan is 30gb or above.
that along with the wifes lebara sim gives us 90gb roaming a month plenty for what we use
I had an ID card for my last European trip. Great stuff, running WiFi and WhatsApp, didn’t get close to the limit. I did mess up when it came to renewing for the next month, and charges for that one day were steep. Next time I’ll fail better.
Knowing ID were owned by Curry’s, I idly googled them: they sell only Voxi cards on their website. I suspect a tie-up.
