Bought a Trangia burner with a simmer cap, 0.3L fuel bottle and a litre of bio ethanol for use with my Cobb Premier Air, in the event I cannot or do not wish to use charcoal briquettes while camping off-grid.

Good idea, let us know how you get on with it.
I got the idea from someone who posted about using a Trangia stove with a Cobb using bio-ethanol with good results in the Cobb FB group that I follow.

How high is the Cobb "plate" above the burner? That will effect heat.
Also, a trangia burner will burn for approx 25 mins. Refilling a hot burner can produce "interesting" results.
Also, how do you get in to use the simmering ring?
Finally a wee tip. The trangia burner is the best but their summer rings are awful. Get a cheap Chinese clone just for their simmer rings. They have wee handles and they fit the Trangia burner.
Something like this ( the burner is rubbish but the stand is ok and the simmer ring is good)

I have yet to try this myself, however, the person who posted this in the Cobb FB group that I follow reported good result with long burn time using bio-ethanol fuel.
If I were to use the simmer ring (I bought the Trangia one already), I would put the simmer ring on before I light the fuel. This way, I would not need to drop the simmer ring onto a burning Trangia burner.
Besides, I would be using tongs to lift the simmer ring if required, and to move the slider plate for more or less heat if required.
I am not a complete newbie to a Trangia stove - I had used a Coleman or Campingaz copy in stainless steel when I was a tenter (now sold when I switched unit).
I am not going to be that stupid to pour fuel onto a hot burner, or to squirt fuel onto burning charcoal, etc. etc...
Thanks for your advice and concerns, however, please give me some credit as I am not a complete newbie to camping and am au fait with the risks associated with naked fire.

Sorry if it offended you but I believe these are legitimate concerns in case anyone not au fait with a Trangia was to decide to use one in their Cobb.
No worries, and I can appreciate your concerns, as I have seen too many videos of numpties playing with fire worthy of the Darwin award!

Had to Google it. Takes me back to camping with my parents in the 60s, Mum used a primus stove.
I believe I might have used mine once or twice, then opted for the Coleman 424 Dual Fuel 2-burner stove.
I kick myself to this day for selling the Coleman 424 as I loved it.
