We have the above awning and the fibreglass roof pole has snapped. I have read that you can buy a metal pole to fit across the awning, but cannot find it anywhere to buy.
Does anyone know if you can even buy the fibreglass roof pole?
I've got the same style of awning in the 260 version.
Never heard of a metal pole replacement, but then never looked, so no surprise there! That's quite a curve and a relatively short length for a metal pole, so not sure about potential viability of a metal pole!
The fibreglass poles are nothing special, absolutely stock type poles, with maybe the overall length being peculiar to your particular awning, easy to take a stock oversized pole and cut to appropriate length with a fine toothed saw. On mine, the pole dia is 11mm, expect yours would be the same, but worth a check. You don't necessarily have to buy the entire pole run, you can buy individual sections to replace just a single damaged section. Maybe bit of an art to threading the shock cord through to reassemble, and a number of ways of doing it, but threading tools available to ease the task.
The go to place for poles is Tentspares! https://www.tentspares.co.uk They have a reputation for being very helpful if you contact them.
Other sources available but 'everyone' points you to Tentspares as a good reliable source.
A single length of 11mm dia pole here: https://www.tentspares.co.uk/universal-11mm-fibreglass-pole-section-with-ferrule/ Think you may need to measure yours and ask Tentspares how long their spare is to ensure it's long enough, or oversize to be cut down.
I have a 260 awning. I had an issue with water collecting in the middle of the roof in a puddle. Instead of buying a £20 roof pole I use an extendable clothes line prop £4-£6 from wickes/dunhelm/argos etc
