The stove does not use a regulator, it needs a direct
connection to gas bottle & this maybe a problem. A screw
in fitting with nipple for hose to fit Campingaz907
bottle used to be available but I don't think you can get
them now. If you could find one then you could fit it to
end of pipe with jubilee clip.

You can get the gas bottles, Campingaz907 or the smaller size 904 & any other gas bottle would suitable, Calor or whatever. Your only problem is getting a suitable fitting. The pipe needs a direct connection to bottle, not through a regulator. If you can get one of these connectors then ok. Campingaz used to do them, just a srcew in fitting with tap & nipple for hose. Its possible you may still be able to get them but I've googled & can't find any.

I once had an old green calor gas bottle that we think came from my grandfathers caravan days. No more than a tap with a ribbed nozzle you pushed the tube on to.

I suspect Mr Health and Safety have ruled these things are no longer allowed, You could open the tap and just leave it to release all ithe gas, great flame throwers!

Yes, you need a direct bottle pressure tap which are no longer available. They haven't been available for many years. I was lucky enough, a few years ago, that a generous member of this forum gave me one for free but sadly my husband got custody of it in the divorce!

No use at this moment in time, but if you can source a suitable connector/tap/adaptor...

Like this for example, but you also need a high-pressure hose with the appropiate fitting (chances are the hose needs replacing anyway because of age).

Don't bin it though! If you really must get rid of it try the Free Adverts on here.

Updated Camping Gas adapter here and here. Don't know why they are different prices other than branding.

Then you will need a suitable hose. Maybe give them a ring?

Hi

I am thinking of buying a nice Tilley Titan but the hose terminates with the female connector and no gas adapter. The links the last poster provided are now dead. Can anyone point me in the direction of the gas adapter that I can buy online (if it exists)? Thank you

can't the o.p. simply use a caravan high pressure pigtail, say the butane one that screws directly into a calorgas 4.5kg bottle , and either couple it directly to the stove ,or connect it to the existing hose, with a coupler, or a q.d. coupler.
i'll se if I can find photos , towsure sell them.

The one in the OP is the older one that works off bottle pressure as per the label in the pic ie no regulator. However you'd need the tap unit that screws direct into a Camping Gaz cylinder.   Unlikely to find one without buying another one the same.   You need to check if your's is bottle pressure or low pressure.

I think if you can screw one of these onto this you could connect to a campingaz cylinder.
But rather you than me. Chuck it in the bin and buy a burner for the same price.

I had one of those when we started camping over 40 years ago, a great little stove it was but I had trouble getting parts for it 30 years ago.

Welcome to the forum and it's good that you have asked a very relevant question, safety is paramount when using gas or electricity.

I note that the second item listed is for LP gas, so although it may be fine I'd think very carefully about it as it definitely worked directly from the bottle at High Pressure without any kind of regulator, unlike today's stoves.
