Hi Guys
Were looking to book a fully serviced pitch .Are the direct hoses safe to use .The one that goes straight from water tap to caravan inlet.
We've always used barrels and never been on a serviced pitch.
Were just worried in case IG floods van as its direct to tap .
There will be the odd one who says they were flooded out or know someone who has been.
We used one for years with no issue, it has a pressure reducer built in near the end that attaches to your van.
Our new van has the reducer built into the van so hose just uses a hose connector straight in to the van.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Mains water pressure is usually far too high to connect direct to a caravan inlet, but I'm sure there is a pressure reducer of some kind available. The alternative is to connect the mains water to the barrel and pump it from there as usual. Again there is a device for this which keeps the barrel topped up without over-filling it.
Personally I won't pay extra for a fully serviced pitch as I don't consider it worth it. Only time I have ever been on one was on a site where all the pitches were fully serviced and very reasonably priced. Cheaper in fact than many ordinary pitches on other sites in the area. Each to their own though.
As above if you use a direct supply turn tap off when leaving.Personally we have used full service for years and prefer aquaroll with float. But whenever leaving the caravan switch the pump switch above the door off, on the way out. We also turn pump off every night when going to bed easier than going outside to the tap, especially if raining.
I filled up my onboard tank as and when I needed to when I stayed on an all-service pitch.
