Hello,
I’ve got a Brenderup 1150s trailer with the ABS lid. I’m trying to find the load bars which attaches to it to allow me to carry a bike rack on top but none of the UK dealers have them. Seems like since Brexit it’s hard to get spares for Brenderup and they need to order a massive amount for it to be worth their while. Lichfield do a version but it’s supply and fit for £360 which is way too much for me. Any ideas on;
A) where to get a set of the load bars for abs lid
B) another option using existing equipment on the market that could be adapted but still safe?

Cheers

Go to a local welding/fabrication workshop take the trailer and a picture of what you want I'm sure they could fabricate something for you.
I built a set for our erde trailer with abs hard lid a lot stronger and a whole lot cheaper than buying the original erde ones.
I was a welder fabricator at the time, so labour and material costs was nothing to me as the company paid for the material unknown to them and I made them in my own time. I even got them galvanised so they.matxh the trailer. Work a treat and have used them for 3 years now. Have carried a roof box and surfboards on them..just bought a roof mounted cargo tray to mount on to them for our trip in August.food.luck and let us know how you get on!

Personally, I do not believe the price quoted by Lichfield is unreasonable (I bought my Brenderup 1150 from them, now sold when I changed to a van).

I trust them to do a good job to retrofit a set of load-bearing bike carriers, and to provide their guarantee for their workmanship for a peace of mind.

I think they are a little expensive unless they are over £250 to buy in the first place!!
Maximum of an hour to fit! Easy £360 if you ask me!!
