Isabella Ambassador awning, no idea how old but in good condition. How do I waterproof it please?

Is it leaking? If not leave it alone.
Don't know what material it is as Isabella have been making awnings for donkeys years and they tend to use their own material, if it needs doing it might be an idea to look at the Isabella website to see what they suggest.
