Hi All. We are currently on a try-before-you-buy with an Apache Bordeaux Awning 973. The main awning went up like a dream, but we're having problems with the poles for the POD/Annexe. They don't seem to be the right poles - does anyone have a picture, instructions or knowledge of the pole arrangement please???? We've been scratching our heads and can't make what we have fit - so am convinced something is wrong/missing!!!! Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thanks ever so. Cath
Since Apache awnings were made by Cabanon, it's likely the annexe will be of similar construction to their trailer tent annexes.
There should be 2 pieces of spring-linked framework which, when fitted together, forms the rear wall frame section of the annexe. You should then have 2 straight pole lengths - one cranked - one fits inside the other to form an adjustable apex bar: one end clips to the middle of the annex frame, the other clips over the awning side rafter pole. Position the apex bar with the cranked bit pointing up, to enable water run-off. Tension the bar and secure with the thumb-turn screw on the pole.
I hope this make sense. It sounds a lot more complicated than it really is!
