Hi, I'm looking for windbreak recommendations, primarily to shelter my cooking area ....or to use to stop the wind under the van when we are sitting in the awning....thank you

To stop the draft under a van, it's usual to use a draft skirt attached to the lower Keder rail, but if no rail on your van, Kampa/Dometic do a suction cup 'Limpet' version that fits to smooth walls (NO textured/profiled surfaces).

I've used cheap and cheerful 'beach' windbreaks to provide general shelter around kitchen when tent camping, BUT with a proper metal windshield around the cooker to both stop the flames blowing out AND to stop the heat being blown from under the pans - makes a hell of a difference in cooking time and saves wasting gas.

Friends swear by Cornish Windbreaks for their huge 'Dog Garden' windbreak.

I have a metal windshield, but it's often not enough, my o.h. doesn't want to use a skirt🙄, so I thought a good windbreak I could move around would do both jobs 😂...yeah I've used beach ones...not really effective...thanks for replying I'll check out the ones your friends use...we have a dog, but he's a bit of a Houdini, so we keep him tethered.

I was thinking about a DIY version using velcros and cutting up a tarp, to fix on the driver side of the van, so that Bean cannot crawl under the van and observe what is going on, to minimise his barking.

This one looks just the job, and one is winging its way to me, thanks!
