Hello ,

I am looking to purchase a double sleeping bag for camping in the Scottish highlands, will just be used for campsite trips so weight isn't an issue.

Scotland can be funny with the weather so i would rather be too hot than cold
can anyone recommend any or have any information on ones they have tried before?

Thanks Lori

Own but not longer use a Vango Nightstar. Fleece lined on the inside ,zips only down the sides so this had to pop to laundry only if needed. I always take the Faux/ fake fur teddy type blankets as the are very warm

Get 2 rectangular bags & zip together. There’ll be a wee gap at the bottom, we used to stuff a sock in it.

We still use our Outwell double duck-down sleeping bag which we bought coming on 8 years ago, if not more. Still our go to in the campervan.

I agree that 2 rectangular bags which can be zipped together are way better than I double (less bulky to transport and easier to wash).

We started with a double, then 2 singles zipped together, now use regular duvet and sheets plus fleece blankets as and when required.
