What can you do with the small redundant 407 size campingaz cylinders when they are empty? Can you put them in the recycling bin as they may still be pressurised?

Council recycling centres usually take gas cylinders.

Did you mean 904 cylinder?

You could give away on Freegle (https://www.ilovefreegle.org/), someone will likely want it, not sure, but may be able to swap for 907 refill.

Sell it! Still see them for sale of Fleabay, FB marketplace and the like.

Return them to any Calor gas supplier. My council tip no longer takes gas bottles they say return them to supplier.

As the OP states small I assume they mean the 470 size. Thousands of these and smaller butane cannisters get thrown in bins every year and I've not heard of many explosions as a result.

Thanks as I did head the thread "Campimngaz" and in the post mentioned "470" so not sure why others advising me to give it away on Freecycle etc. or return to Calor gas. LOL!

Your post mentioned 407 Ian which I thought you had posted erroneously meaning Campingaz 907 which is an exchangeable cylinder hence my advice LOL!

Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

The CV407 Campingaz can is disposable. When it is empty pout it in recycling the same as you would an aerosol.

Likewise, you mentioned cylinder not cartridge which implied a refillable, which is why I queried whether you meant a 904 CYLINDER.

You misled us, calling it a cylinder not a disposable cartridge and misnaming it a 407! Rather uncharitable taking a pop at people trying to help when YOU were not clear on your requirements on OP!

I appreciate the advice however a canister and a cylinder could be the same.   Is there a Calor 407 cylinder?
