Strange heading I know but we've just come back from 4 nights away with son (15) and his girlfriend - I know - must be mad!
Rules before travel were they would sleep in the van with us (not in the awning pod) in individual but double sleeping bags and any rustling in the night would involve me jumping up and separating them!
Bless them - they've been brilliant, however, I have only cheap tesco sleeping bags (2 joined together to make a double twice over) and they have been slipping all over the place due the the 'not' quality fabric.
As this 'relationship' may continue and she may be coming away with us more often I'm hoping for some advice on unslippy double sleeping bags which still have an element of rustle - or am I going to have to attach bells :) ?
Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks

Clair

Think what you really want/need is here (NOT for the feint of heart, but not too problematic if your sense of humour is robustish! ) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Chastity-Belts/b?ie=UTF8&node=2758378031&tag=ukcampsite00

Think all the sleeping bags I've ever had have been 'slippery', it's the synthetic fabrics used that cause it. Very good reason for using synthetic materials, it stops them getting damp from sweat and atmospheric moisture, once damp they'd cease to be very warm and comfortable! Less of an issue in a caravan than a tent perhaps, but a lot of bodies in a relatively small 'room/space' will drive up the humidity levels!

You can get natural fibre sleeping bags that will be less slippy, but they won't rustle, so it's sewing bells or the link I'm afraid.

That spinning when you turn over is why we don’t use sleeping bags.
Try using two single duvet covers as a sleeping bag / young person container & take a double duvet (in its cover) from home to go on top.
We have a super king sized duvet for an inner with a double duvet on top in the MH.

How about some cotton liners, the ones for youth-hostelling in my younger days?

My Coleman Hampton bag isn't slippy. It isn't double either but I'm pretty sure they do make them.

I made my own liner when I was youth hosteling because the issue ones were too narrow. Hence my suggestion of a single duvet (end opening), as it’s wider.

The Tesco (and similar cheap bags from places like Halfords ) are so shiny and nylon-y.

Look at any cotton or polycotton bags. I use a Vango Aurora, which is 1m wide so nice and roomy, but very bulky to transport. Have a look at Decathlon. The Pod bags by Go Outdoors are very popular.
