Hello. This Weber uses screw in canister gas, the canister has a male thread EN517. I want to use the caravan gas supply from its plug in point. Assuming I can find an EN517 adapter will the gas flow and pressure allow the BBQ to operate normally. Any one done this conversion?

The problem you've got is that the BBQ is either a 'high pressure' (disposable canister) system throughout, or has it's own regulator built in (I doubt it!), whilst the gas supply from your van is 'low pressure' and already regulated.

Weber offer an adaptor to connect to a large refillable type cylinder, which is again a 'high pressure' supply without regulation: https://www.weber.com/GB/en/accessories/cleaning-and-care/replacement-parts---char........

Two scenarios here, both require modifying the BBQ. If the BBQ has it's own regulator, that would need removing/bypassing (you can only have one regulator in a gas supply!), if it's a 'high pressure' system throughout and you could connect your caravan supply with a suitable adaptor, it would need re-jetting (assuming suitable jets were available!) to work with your 'low pressure' caravan gas supply.

IMHO, not really a viable to do as you wish, I would expect it to be a high pressure system throughout as these set ups usually are, so you'd have some reworking of gas plumbing to do, with sourcing of new jets, rather than just buying an off the shelf hose kit.
