Hi,

I'm after a valve body from a Campingaz Belvedere gas lamp or similar - one that connects to a 901/4/7 bottle using the specific screw thread connection.

Campingaz don't list it as a component that can be purchased as an individual item, and so I'm putting out a shout in case anyone has a decrepit lamp sitting in the shed that they're never going to use. If that's you please get in touch. Happy to pay a few pennies plus postage. Thanks.

For info it's the valve body showing in this exploded diagram:

I know there is an old lamp somewhere in the back of my garage. Not sure if it is what you want, but I will have a look tomorrow. If need be, I will take a photo (s).

Finally found the old lamp, but I am afraid it will probably not be the type you want.
Sorry, it was so long ago since we used it, I could not remember quite what it was like.
Out of interest, it was in a box with other items I had planned to sell/ dump and came across a set of keys I lost many moons ago. So at least I have benefited from this exercise.

Thanks. Right lamp, wrong connection (as it looks to use the pierceable cannisters that have now been banned for use by the Scout Assoc). Good about your keys . . . . funny how these things put an appearance in many moons later? Cheers.

Can it be fixed with a new washer?
Am not taking the p**s, any used Campingaz kit you buy consider replacing the washers.
You are very likely to break the globe once it's been heated a few times and then handled.
Campingaz seem to be phasing out R series lanterns using 901, 904 and 907 cylinders in favor of click system Lumogaz PX lanterns, using CV470 disposable cans.

-------------
Enjoy the liveliness of the syntax.

Afraid not. I was after the part that would screw into a 90x bottle and then connect to the lamp mounting, as this can be used to refill the 90x bottle from CP250 type aerosol cannisters. Since I posted a year ago I've acquired a couple of tent heaters that screw to 90x bottles, and the connection does unscrew from the main heater body - once the jet is removed so there's a channel through (controlled by a tap) it can be used to refill the bottle. Works a treat.
