These Ozzi chairs are not cheap as you probably know.
Can i ask you guys that have them already, have you had any problems with the stability of them. I purchased two of these Ozzi chairs recently and did a trip in Wales with them this week one of them seems to have failed. It is very wobbly and does not feel safe. They are meant to hold 150 kg.. I weigh possibly less than 100 kg, so I am well under the load weight.
All I am asking for is there anybody else out there That has also had problems with these chairs.?
Thank you for your replies either way good or bad

we have very similar ones, ours are from aldi, but a lot of people buy the helinox versions too, yes they move about a bit, but my hubby who is close to the weight limit than you is finding them very comfortable.
I have a Vango of similar design. They will never be very stable, the main issue is the legs do sink into soft ground. This can be overcome by fitting plastic practice golf balls on the end of each leg.
Ok this is not a ground stability issue guys. Even on flat ground like our living room floor one of them wobbles and tilts over too far, if you took your foot off the floor it would fall over. Its very unstable. As if there is too much slack in the fittings. Yes ive tried to tighten the 2.5mm allen bolts,= no joy..!
These chairs are almost £80 each and claim to hold 150kg each also. Im just not happy with the after sales telling me they do wobble a little.. this is a huge wobble on one of the two chairs. You wouldn't put your loved child on it im sure.. im just not happy. Ive sent them videos of the wobble. Big wobble.
What should i do?

Sale of goods act 1979 states that what you bought has to be of satisfactory quality and fit for the specific purpose you bought it for. You consider that the wobbly one is not fit to be used as a chair. Take photos or video as proof. Ask the retailer to exchange it, quoting the relevant part from the act (easily found inline).
I bought the chairs online direct from Ozzi chairs.
I emailed them and sent videos. I said id lost faith in the chairs as one had failed and was so wobbly it was dangerous and if you took your feet off the floor, the chair would fall over. So in this case, I said I’d like to send them back for a refund. The reply that I got was we have sent you another chair as a replacement…!
That is not what I wanted. As I said, these chairs wasn’t cheap and I expected more from the company. I have lost faith in these chairs as I expect the other one to go the same way then I will have to go through all this again. I’d rather send the chairs back and get a refund and buy from another company. I do not trust these chairs now. But it looks like they are determined to send me a replacement chair without really listening to what I want. What can you do in a situation like this?

Hi there, sending them back isn't that easy.
I got another email reply from ozzi chairs.
They want the chairs sent back in original condition and original packaging. Who keeps the original packaging?
We had no intentions of sending these chairs back as we wanted to keep them. Why would you keep the packaging? Buying the Ozzi chairs is easy. Send them back it’s not so easy. They want me to pay for the return postage to South Australia with tracking a number. The chairs are heavy and it will cost a small fortune at my expense. In the UK, the seller would pay the return expense cost. Ozzi chairs are not willing to pay this even though the chairs are wobbly and with one of them being in the dangerous condition. We have lost faith in the chairs and in the company. Id like to let anyone thinking of buying Ozzi chairs to take on board their after sales and return policy, it could end up costing you time hassle and money. You may be lucky and your chairs might be perfect and you could be 100% happy with them for many years. Its just when things go wrong your problems start with Ozzi chairs.
I might have to talk to my credit card company and ask them to step in as the cost was well over the £100 minimum cost.

Consumer rights tend to go clean out of the window when making purchases from offshore companies, there is not really any way of applying UK law to them for a start! Not got a clue where you would stand as a non-domiciled customer trying to get their domestic customer protection, if it exists, to act on your behalf.
Shipping faulty goods at your own expense (even if a refund is potentially in the offing IF supplier agrees they are faulty), normally makes little financial sense. Between actual cost of shipping and insurance against loss, the cost begins to match the value of the item if not careful!
Two options open it seems, accept replacement chair (and hope it performs OK), which TBH discharges the company's duty to it's customer, or seek Section 75 redress, you may be unlucky with that as the company HAS responded 'favourably' by supplying a replacement for the faulty item! Section 75 is a fallback when a supplier defaults. Worth enquiring though.
I'm with you in doubting the durability long term, but not sure your 'lack of faith' carries much clout in disputes over goods, especially if you have the goods you ordered, even if as a result of a replacement chair.
Out of interest, have you read the1 star reviews on Trustpilot? Most of them are from people with faulty chairs.

Thank you for your post. The only way i guess would of been through my bank and the credit card protection. I will see if the said replacement chair turns up. If not then its going to be through the credit protection.
I would like those that are considering buying Ozzi chairs will also remember that the online adds are great but it does not let you know they are shipped from south Australia and your consumer rights will not apply if something goes wrong
