I've been out and purchased one today, and somewhat unlike me, did so without reading up on it first. I just thought to myself, 'Campingaz is a good quality, well know brand'.
Now, 2hrs, a bit of sweat and a LOT of swearing later, I'm on the brink of taking this thing back! First of all it was more difficult than it should have been to screw on the 2 plastic sides - the holes didn't match up.
Then you have to thread 8 strips of velcro through tiny, fiddly hoops on the storage bit - why these aren't sewn on only Campingaz know.
THEN, there is the inner shelf. It... is... a... nightmare. Fortunately, the only thing that kept me going was the back of the box staring up at me with the phrase (and in nice big letters), 'quick and easy(tm)'. They've even trade marked it!! Haha. Oh, and there's a bit at the bottom that says, '5 mins'. HaHaHa. It took me that to thread one bit of velcro through a hoop.
I'm going to have another go tommorrow when I've calmed down a bit. I knew it wasn't just me though and was not at all surprised to find this thread on here.
I thing maybe slightly longer screw may make it easer...
I went out to B&Q and bought some slightly longer (by about 1cm) machine screws. This has helped a bit as I found it very frustrating trying to position the wingnut over about 1mm of available screw at times.
Also, I've found that if you have the back of the shelf screwed in as normal, but the front ones screwed in through the front of the pole (rather than from the inside), it's a lot easier too. Disadvantage is; you can't zip the larder up this way but we planned on always having ours rolled up anyway :-)
I might still give your way a try though Oregano...
