I have an ordinary footpump from tesco (recent as I lost mine) and its pretty good.  I have also bought a car one from matalan for about £3 when it was half price but I am yet to try that one.

Tesco £7 will run either mains or of 12v.  We how two so the kids race.  Two double airbeds inflated in well under 2 minutes.
