Been a while since I ordered goods from Towsure, other than the new catalogue which arrived within a few days, well done for that.
Been using towsure since about 1995 and have never had a problem with either delivery or stock. These days the operation is much larger but I still feel that it is one of the more helpful companies and seeing the responses to problems on ukcampsite I am pleased to continue using them.
Just shows the value of consumer power - in most cases it's all we have! Personally I haven't shopped there for about 2 years since I drove 30 miles to get a number plate (obviously I went for a browse as well). As per the website I took the vehicle registration docs and a utility bill as well as carrying my driving licence and credit card. They (assistant and subsequently manager) refused to sell me one, saying that the rules have changed and I needed more documentation (can't remember what it was - may have been the deeds to my house!). After 10 minutes arguing and them being unable to produce any evidence to support their claim we left our basket of other purchases on the counter and got the number plate at Halfords. I don't know how long mud is supposed to stick for and what I expect them to do now but I just can't bring myself to go and spend my money there - maybe next year.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
