60 mph is storm force 10 my freind, there would have been sensational reports nationwide on news channels, some people would have died, roofs would have been torn of buildings, Michael Fish would have been racked with guilt (again) if those winds were experienced in July
I would suggest that force six may have been nearer the mark, 22 - 27 mph, as i said, generally conventional pegs would hold in those conditions, but deltas would ensure a contented nights sleep
As it is, Rob has offered you a refund, email him so he can refund the price of your purchase back into the account he will have on record for you
We took deltas with us last week and didnt use them and onlyused the metal pegs that came with the tent, was a bit worried but OH said they'd be fine and they were, and that was with really strong winds both nights we were away I think its got a lot to do with how they're hammered into the ground not the actual peg, although I will keep the deltas on standby just in case

I`d just use the Delta`s from the off if you have them with you. Saves you worrying then does it not ? It does in fact have a lot to do with the peg.

force 10 is whole gale rather than storm is it not ? Storm force is 11 on the scale & is 60 knots rather than 60mph ?
We use the rock pegs from towsure that look like a nail with a T bar. U tend to smash the plastic tops on other pegs as by mallet aim is somwtimes a bit off!!!! These T bar ones come in 2 sizes and we have not bent any yet and they hold well. For the ground sheet try a 8" nail and a washer then you dont stub your toes or trip over them inside. If you have no eyelets on the ground sheet the washers just hold the edges down.
