We are off to orlando in 2 weeks time and they have a good outdoor world there, i have just been on their website and seen this sleeping bag. it says it has a comfort rating of -10. We want to camp from early spring to autumn. Was thinking about getting 2 of these for us.
Hi. Remember that these things weigh 3.6 kgs each, are probably HUGE when packed, and are rated for -10 Farenheit. That's -23 Celcius. Not too many places in the UK that get anywhere near so cold in spring and autumn.
Good price, though. If you go to the shop, and flash a bus pass, or a cycling proficiency badge, or the like, they'll probably give you an extra discount.
They've also got a huge range of Magnum .44s, with bullets of all types, and secret chairs to nail half way up a tree, and loads of other stuff that we never see here.
I'd take an empty suitcase with me, and beware of the luggage allowance !
Serious point to remember - if you like what you see, and want to buy lots of heavy stuff, they'll ship to the UK for a flat charge of $40. Sounds a lot, but the savings on the purchase prices soon add up, and the excess baggage charges on most Cattle-Class-Airways are enough to make your eyes water.

Sleeping bag that can open up completely to use as a duvet if warm or sleeping bag as if cold - did both on the same trip (different nights) and a sheet on a 10cm high self-inflating mattres.
Sleping bags take up less space than equivalent warmth duvets and blankets.
On our first trip for 30 yrs, we used sleeping bags in July, got cold feet and as I like my legs to have access to the air if I get hot, I hated it, we were also on individual lilo's.
So we brought a posh campingaz double air bed, and took our duck down duvet 8 togs, put one of the sleeping bags under the bed and we were as warm as toast, weather was atrocious outside but it was like being at home!
We use foil backed picnic rugs on the ground, then the airbed. On top of that I put thermal sheepskin topper (from Dunelm Mill) follwed by a fitted sheet. We then use 3 season sleeping bags and if its really cold we put a fleece blanket over the top.
A nice mug of hot chocolate with a shot of brandy in it before bedtime also helps keep the chills at bay!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
