After weeks if not months of being out bid on roof boxes on e-bay, I finally picked up a hardly used Karrite just a few miles away for £75-00, last year.

What was amazing that on some folks were willing to bid up to & beyond retail price.

You could try cheap-cycle, gumtree.co.uk and preloved.co.uk. For roof boxes and bars. I bought mine second hand last year along with the bars separately and saved a fortune. Cheap-cycle is local to each area and you just register and can put what you want as well as stuff for sale. There is also free-cycle.

We got a Kamei from roofbox company not cheap but then its really solid and has lasted 7 years rough use and still looks as good as the day we got it. (apart from a few dead fly's)

However we're now going to a trailer as we just have too much stuff.
