would a parafin heater (like a green house heater) do? or would the fumes kill you?
There will be a 'problem' with fumes with any fuel powered heater, paraffin is no worse or no better than gas in this respect. You need to ensure plenty of ventilation.
Greenhouse heaters would be a bit smelly too, I dont think I would want to use one in a tent. There are paraffin heaters that burn the fuel in a different way to the average greenhouse heater, so they dont smell so bad, but these heaters are expensive.
can anyone recommend a heater that you can use in a tent? that is safe!
I dont think a heater has been invented that is 'safe'. Gas or paraffin heaters have to increase the risk of fire in a tent, which obviously can be very serious.
