 I bought one of these about 3 years ago still going strong. We go to France a lot and use it in the car to keep food ( and wine!) cold ( mine works off the cigarette lighter as well so it's worth checking to see if this one does too).and then use as an additional fridge for our caravan. Even as a cool box it works well when no electric. I don't notice the noise, just a gentle whirr. I wouldn't be without it. Fab value. I have also bought mats, tables chairs and various bits over the years from Lidl. I would thouroughly recommend their fly swats ! .Everything has been good value and of good quality. Don't know that I would buy their tents but hey, never say never !. good luck on the fridge.
