go outdoors have the carp chairs then? guess they'll be worthy of a visit soon then... just a bit worried they may be too low and comfy - once I'm on it I'll not get off!
i've drifted to other sides during the bleak winter months, but this site always pulls me back
my sis in law has a lafuma that she rates... they are expensive tho, when some of the wannabees look just as good?
We've got a pair of Dukdalfs with foot rests and I absolutely love mine. Hubby doesn't like his though and when he spotted one of these last year he was smitten.
He's 6ft 2 and pretty bulky and finds it really comfy.

nice to see you again... adl
We (Valbarley, me and our OH's) all did a lafuma chair test when we went to Go Outdoors versus the cheaper version
I think we all pretty much preferred the Lafuma one, I thought it was much comfier, spose thats what you pay for
Yep GO have this fishing chair (tried to add a link but it appeared at the top of the page in the yellow bit....weird)
Anyways good luck hope you find something to park yourself on
We have the Kampa Extravagance (last years model) and I can thoroughly recommend them - not just for those of us with generous proportions. We have friends who have the Lafuma ones and they just aren't wide enough I'm afraid! These Kampa ones don't leave cord marks on your wobbly bits as the seats are extra wide!
Hi ADL, have got to recommend again (if you look other posts up about chairs I always offer the same recommendation)
These Royal Commader chairs are great for the larger and taller person. OH is a big guy 6'1" and probably 24st and we have had these chairs for over a year now and they are very comfy, there is no strain on the material and the legs are very sturdy. They have metal arms, which some people arn't keen on, but I think gives the chair greater stability, the seat is quite high, therefore probably not recommended for someone with little legs!
OH spent the previous year testing out every blooming camping chair going and this got his vote (at the time tried it out at a motorhome exhibition and didn't have a clue what it was called and had to look it up on 'tinternet)
We got a pair of High Gear Hawaii recliners last year which were on sale at £50 each and they are the comfiest chairs that I have sat on. The Lafumas were almost three times as expensive and I honestly thought that the High Gear was better made. The Lafuma creaked a lot when you sat in it whilst the High Gear felt really solid with no creaks. I over heard the staff at Go Outdoors saying that anyone paying the extra premium for the Lafuma's must be barking mad, as the High Gears were as good if not better.
The down side to these recliners is the bulk. We get them in our car ok with all our gear, but there are only two of us. Anyone with kids would need a very large car or a trailer.
re my post on fishing chair, they have adjustable legs (all 4) so go a lot higher than piccie and invaluable on eneven ground. I've had mine about 4/5 years and this year I bought some 10mm bungee cord from b+q and renewed the chair.
We trundled off to Go Outdoors in Coventry today and liked the Hi Gear Vermont chairs so much we came home with two. Amazing price for a very comfortable chair that reclines and includes a headrest, 29.99. Then we went mad and bought two stool/tables so we can put our feet up as well, 14.99 each. Complete decadence!
We too have been trying out the Hi Gear Vermont chairs ar Go but even at that price had seen them as a 'no go' this year. But today, as our anniversary, we have unexpectantly been given some cash so we maybe will be purchasing them now. Just a shame didn't go ahead with 15% off last week
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
