For the price £9.99, I thought it would last longer than a suitcase although the gas will be more - it'll be fine for making a brew / quick fry up. The pan that comes with it is pretty substantial - not one for backpacking though
Those little camping gaz stoves you first listed are brilliant little things, I remember having several for camping when I was much younger, & they were all handed down from retired people who had become too old for camping, so god knows how old the stoves were. They never let us down though.
These days I prefer my petrol powered coleman stove, I've always got my car with me, so it makes sense (to me at least) to just carry the one type of fuel.
I've also used the suitcase stoves in the past & found them to be brilliant, but they hadn't been around long then, I get the feeling they're not built to the same standards these days.
Coleman do make single burner petrol (dual fuel) stoves, but I'm pretty biased. If you just want something small & portable, with gas that's easy to replace, you can't go wrong with the little gaz stove, you could probably take it anywhere in the world & find a cannister for it, & they last for ever.
