We have the Superlite Midi kitchen, which is great; easy to set up, good quality, sturdy and light, but it's a bit tight on space sometimes, so for longer trips we use a Sunnflair American Camp Kitchen, which is 92cm wide, sturdy, waterproof and can be left outside (top is very durable).
What a great idea to add the wire baskets to the folding aluminium tables! Might have to nick that brainwave!
Where did you get those tables, Val? We have one, which opens with scissor action legs so takes just seconds to put up and down, only it's a pain not being able to put anything under it because of the crossbar.
Are they the fiddly, slats-in-a-bag-which-isn't-big-enough variety of slat top tables, or some really great item that I've missed?
I nicked Vals idea and got myself a pair of those wire baskets from Lidl a couple of months ago.
Erroutdoors, I know exactly what you mean about the scissor action legs, we had a table like that but sold it after our last french trip as I was fed up of not being able to get our legs under properly at mealtimes. I bought a table that looks similar to Vals last year but it was a right pain to assemble imho with some sharp bits and the bag was over a metre long so I got shot of that too.

Like the look of that Sunnflair American kitchen. How sturdy/stable would you say it is, when compared to the Midi kitchen? I really like that simple, effective design and the shelf under but I guess the low height of the shelf means you can't put much under it? Cheers.
