Size is an issue when you look at towing speeds. Trailere with wheels smaller than 10" are limited to 50 mph on motorways. 10" and over can legally be towed at 60mph
Do you have a reference for this? Nothing I've ever seen confirms this...
It is worth noting that there is a 50 MPH limit on towing (all) trailers on single carriageways however.
We bought a Brenderup 1150 trailer with ABS locking lid from ebay just before easter. It had been used by fellow campers to transport their norfolk lake kit and they had upgraded to a caravan. We paid 400 for it. Great piece of kit, sturdy and will last for years. It has 13 inch wheels & I would recommend it.

I disagree with you there, there is nothing i can find that states the smaller wheeled trailers are limited to 50mph.
The trailers I always see with punctures on the har shoulder of French motorways are almost always those with small wheels - I guess because they're being driven faster than they are designed for (80mph speed limit towing a trailer on a French motorway).
