Thank you HAT11 - just spent another £70 from our holiday budget on the camping kitchen and 2 carpets .
1 carpet for our bedroom pod and 1 for the porch awning - we have a tunnel extension so all the mucky stuff gets left there and it'll keep toes warm before getting into the tent proper. At that price I don't mind if it only does a couple of seasons.
The camp kitchen looks great - looking forward to seeing it all set up.
------------- “It is great to be a blonde. With low expectations it's very easy to surprise people.”
Vango and Outwell Tents > VW Camper and various Vango and Outwell awnings dependent on stay location and duration > Bailey Pegasus Grande SE Brindisi and Vango Air Awning.
Found our Nivana ❤️
Thanks for posting this link, our local garden centre stocks the Royal stuff so popped over to check the kitchens and storage items out.
After finding your link we have now purchased the easy up kitchen and easy up storage cupboard for £60 less than we would have spent at the garden centre - very happy, thank you :)
Gooutdoors have their simple (but oddly named 'deluxe') Hi Gear Camp Kitchen for £14.99 this week, which seemed ideal for the money, so reserved one, and popped down to pick it up, but next to it was the identical camp kitchen linked in the OP, just branded by Vango I think, and it pretty much looked the proverbial dogs danglies, so needless to say, I cancelled the reservation and got one..
Oh, and in a :( and :) kind of way, I also got a very cheap, new, fully enclosed Canopy for my large tunnel tent off eBay for £54 to put it in!
phil, you got a link for the camp kitchen you went for?
Also for anyone who got one of the royal camp kitchens, how sturdy is it? After filling it with food, utensils, cookers etc could you still pick it up and move it around?
I looked long and hard at that one but wanted a bit more space so I went for one of these at £50. Thankfully it looks much better in real life than the picture.

No probs
The Go-outdoors 'deluxe' camp kitchen, is Here £14.99
In the end, I went for the one in the OP, Here
I've seen most of the Royal range at Attwoolls in the flesh, they are sturdy enough, it passes my 'wobble' test with ease.. I don't know how much the shelves can hold, but we have a 4 shelf single width storage unit thing that is constructed similarly (A Hi-gear one), that has very sturdy fabric and holds a lot of weight (easily enough to stack 2 lots of tins/pans without any hassle.
What they do all lack is any way of easily levelling on a slope, you have to improvise on that front!
The reason I went for that royal was I prefer the roll tops that have the edging sections, these keep the rool top from being snagged and lifting up, and I like the washing up bowl or extra work top being at the same level, finally, despite not using gas, the gas bottle section is perfect for a bin!
I ordered the kitchen unit and 2 of these carpets on Monday morning and they've just arrived by City Link Courier.
Haven't assembled the kitchen unit but it looks a nice piece of kit.
The carpets don't have the rubberised-type backing of Outwell carpets (and obviously not the weight either) but it's the type of backing you get on waterproof picnic rugs. In fact, it's just LIKE a huge picnic rug. There's no foam mid-layer but the top has a lovely velour-type feeling.
We intend to use the carpets in our bedrooms so it's ideal for that. Mine arrived in green which is ideal for our Indie.
It's a shaped carpet that measures 278cm widthwise at the widest point. Lengthwise it measures about 220cm.
At about 85cm it starts to reduce in width until it reaches 194cm after about 130cm. Think of it as about 275 x 220 with 2 long and thin triangles cut off each corner.
Hope this helps everyone to make their mind up - I'm extremely happy with mine!
Tip - I'll be using that sticky type matting for keeping rugs in place under each corner and a couple of bits thrown under the middle to help stop it moving around.
Update - just been measuring again and found that if I trim off the excess length from 275cm (measuring from the middle of the carpet) to the 240cm I need for the Indie bedroom size, then the carpet is more or less 240 x 220 - a perfect fit! RESULT
There really are some bargains on that site - I'm beginning to wish I'd bought a couple of Royal Commander chairs to go with the carpets and Kitchen now too
