I bought the warmest version of the Coleman Elle which is girlie shaped and I really like it and it's the right size for me.
Piglet, could you tell me if your sleeping bag is the +8 one please? I'm tempted to to try your recommendation as Charlies direct have this bag at a good price. Could you tell me if the outer is indeed soft polyester because I can't stand that russelly slippy-slidey nylon stuff!
Hi No Faff, mine is the +8 and it's not rustly slippery, it's a really nice bag although I found it a bit chilly this weekend which is a first, I've always been toasty warm in it. I really like the Coleman, but I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone for the Vango 350W which is their ladies bag and is slightly better rated.
...also thinking about going for a down bag. I think I may have spooked myself into feeling cold at night by thinking about sleeping bags!
I am a very chilly sleeper though so I think I'm a bit extreme!
I was the same as you, always cold, struggled to stay warm even with my mummy bag, thermals, blankets, hot water bottle etc... After much debate on what to do (buy new bags or airbeds) we opted for new sleeping bags. We ave just purchased Outwell Camper Lux sleeping bags, think we paid around £45 - but they are not a mummy bag tho. I can honeslty say i wish i had done it sooner - we have used them 3 times already this year and i have been as snug as a bug, ive even stopped using my hot water bottle (but do still take it - just incase) - it really does feel like im wrapped up in my duvet - i am a very happy camper now! Good Luck
