The fittings are used by sailors who rely on gas so pretty universal.
Just check it with a bottle yourself.
Do all 3.7kg bottles come with screw taps as opposed to snap-on regulators and how is the gas pressure regulated in your setup (sorry to ask dumb question but I'm new to gas and likely to blow myself up)
Calor 3.9Kg propane are POL connectors (screw it type). The hose from the States is high pressure. You use the regulator built-in to the gas cannister adapter supplied with the cooker, i.e you screw the hose into the bottle one end and the other end into the cooker gas cannister adapter.

For what it's worth this supplier carries a lot of Coleman stuff including the 5 foot Coleman Propane Hose & Adaptor Kit.
If you haven't already got a 3.9kg propane cylinder martinjp65 you should be able to pick one up on somewhere like e-bay for about £8 -£10. Better than spending about £25 that a stockist would want as a deposit for an initial cylinder.
I just tried my hose for the first time today in the garage and thought I could smell gas so did the soapy water test around the hose where it goes into the cylinder and sure enough there were bubbles. No matter how hard I try I cannot screw the small handwheel tight enough to stop the gas leak. I've put PTFE plumbers thread tape on the connection but still have the leak. I will now be contacting the company about this and will advise later on this thread. I only mention it as I think it important you do a full check with soapy water before you take the cylinder and hose out for the first time.
Putting thread tape on wont help seal this i'm afraid as the threaded part is 'floating' on the fitting, the sealing is done by the bull nose. I have noticed that the coleman hose has an O ring and calor regulators dont this may have something to do with the leak. Do calor bottles have an internal O ring? , if so is everything seated correctly i.e in it's groove.
------------- Dance before the storm and don't look back to where you've been.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the gravity of the situation.
Thanks for your post dodge20. I spoke to the company who advised me that they had never had one leak before and to try another propane cyl. I did that with the same result so have returned the hose for exchange. Hopefully I'll get it on Friday or Saturday and I'll let you know how the new hose performs.
I think the reason the Coleman hose has an "O" ring as it is only tightened hand tight. You DO NOT use a spanner.
I just received the replacement hose and I'm pleased to say that this one works OK with no leaks. Looks like I was just unlucky with the first one.
I have to highly commend the customer service of this supplier. Someone called Andy responded to my first e-mail with helpful suggestions then spoke with me on the phone. Having done as he suggested i.e. try another cylinder if possible which didn't work either he told me to return the item and they would exchange it without any hassle.
I sent the hose back Tuesday afternoon and received the replacement today, Thursday. He even put a fiver in with the hose to compensate for the cost of return postage and my inconvenience.
A pleasure to do business with a company that puts their customers first.

No chance dodge. I had an e-mail from Andy who informed me that thet tested the hose and it was in fact defective. It was the first one they had ever had. It has been cut up and discarded so you should be OK
