The Alpkit Bulb II is a surprisingly bright light for such a small unit. Being battery powered it's also safe in the damp, and being small it can be hung from the tent without ripping it. Alpkit Bulb II
Yep, my DH has one and we tried it in our new frame tent currently pitched in the garden. I was surprised at how good it is for such a small light. Funnily enough I found this which is identyical bar the branding. Only thing is you have the kerfuffle of ordering from China and waiting till mid June for it.

Hi Helen,
Back from there for a fortnight now. Picked the wrong time to go :( Entertainment for easter had packed up, and only just started again for the high season. Busy site, but i'm sure you will enjoy. 10th August is when we're off on our proper jollies to ther parts of Holland. May even pass each other at some point!
