Used PeggyPegs for first time this year (good for all ground except extreme rocky conditions) .... looks of amazement and a touch of the 'green eyed monster' as we whistled round the rig with drill in hand and peg flying in ... no hammer bashing ... in very hot conditions: an absolute boon!
Hi there, good pegs for the ring and pin you should look for something like a groundhog tent peg they look like 9inch nails lol. on our guy ropes we use the yellow delta pegs these pegs are fantastic i would reccomend them

July/August/Sept/Oct
Didn't get them from here and am sure you can find hem cheaper, but ours came in a bag like this and with a hammer. They get through everything!!!
I have heard of Delta Pegs, but don't really know much about them. Perhaps someone could fill me in on their advantages/? Am I ok to continue using rock pegs for all lines/ropes?
Rock Pegs, Rock. Once they are in, they are in forever. (you have been warned)
There have been times, when I have been tempted to leave them behind, because I couldn't get the darn things out.

That's the thing mummyg, I use a clawhammer for the pegs, still struggled to get the damn things out this time. lol even a 6 ft strapping bloke struggled as well. I felt a little better; that I didn't suddenly turned into a weakling. hehehehe

Ive got about 15 deltas that I bought off someone on this site. Not used them yet as I havent been camping.
I did stock up on some hi gear rock pegs when they had the 50% off all hi gear stock sale. Paid about £1.50 per pack of 4. Could do with a decent box or bag now to keep all the pegs in.

I am a bomb technician, if you see me running, try to keep up!
A question if you please..... a daft one at that, but not worthy of it's own thread, so apologies to the OP for butting in......
I bought a couple of boxes of These on my very first camping-shop expedition, but in all honesty, they haven't even been out of the box, as I just shove in the supplied wire pegs at the Ring & Pins/base of the tent, doubled at the corners, plastics for the skirting elastic loops, and yellow Deltas for all guys. (I have only been on fairly soft ground so far, in half-decent weather, so haven't "needed" to actually use rock pegs)
It has, however, just dawned on me..... surely that little swivelly plastic hook isn't going to keep the guy attached? And why the hole? Is that just for extracting? It seems a claw hammer is better than a puller for these, from what I've read on here?
Just seems a very small hook, although like I say, I haven't given them a try yet!
Obviously, with the T Bar type, the guy would loop right over the peg, but if I did that with these, then where does the swivelly plastic bit come into it?
I know..... Sorry!!!
PS:
I have tried to find a (close-up) pic of something similar in use, but have had no luck. So if anyone has one of their own.....
Hang onto them for when you do find some really hard ground!
I think the hook should be adequate (assuming the peg's at the correct angle) and the claw hammer could be used on another peg fitted through the hole.
As long as you hammer them right into the ground the 'hook' on the top will hold the guy line. But yes, you do need a claw hammer to get them out, and a lot of upper body strength too
